Responsibilities
- Manage and file legal documents, court records, and case files in an organized and secure manner.
- Receive, review, and process incoming applications, petitions, and motions for accuracy and completeness.
- Operate office equipment, including scanners, copiers, and computers, to digitize records.
- Assist the public and attorneys by answering inquiries, providing information, and directing visitors.
- Prepare and distribute legal notices, summonses, and subpoenas in accordance with court procedures.
- Perform data entry tasks to update case management systems and maintain databases.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional deadlines.
