We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Court Clerk to support the daily operations of the New Orleans Judiciary. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the public, attorneys, and court officials, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of court records. You will manage complex filing systems, prepare legal documents, and assist judges and magistrates with administrative duties.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate digital and physical records for civil, criminal, and family law cases.
- Process and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and judgments, ensuring strict compliance with local and state regulations.
- Assist the public with document retrieval, scheduling, and information requests with a high level of professionalism.
- Prepare docket sheets and maintain the court calendar to ensure timely proceedings.
- Verify the accuracy of legal citations, case numbers, and filing fees.
- Collaborate with court personnel, attorneys, and law enforcement agencies to facilitate efficient court operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or Criminal Justice preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a legal office, court administration, or related administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software (e.g., Fastcase, Tabs3).
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
