Responsibilities
- Manage, file, and maintain accurate court dockets, records, and legal documents with strict adherence to protocol.
- Receive, screen, and direct visitors, attorneys, and court personnel to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare, process, and issue subpoenas, summons, and other legal correspondence.
- Perform high-volume data entry and transcription tasks using county-specific software.
- Assist the Clerk of Court and judges with administrative duties, scheduling, and case management.
- Answer high-volume phone inquiries regarding case status and court procedures.
- Maintain the integrity of confidential information and court filings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate's degree or paralegal certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in an office environment, legal setting, or customer service is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure setting.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding court records and sensitive data.
