Responsibilities
- Manage and organize physical and digital case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Greet visitors and court personnel, directing them to appropriate offices and answering general inquiries.
- Process incoming mail, documents, and legal filings in a timely manner.
- Operate court management software to update case status and generate required reports.
- Assist the judiciary and legal staff with administrative tasks, such as scheduling and docket management.
- Maintain a clean and professional reception area for the courthouse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or Business Administration is preferred.
- Previous experience in a clerical, administrative, or legal support role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is mandatory.
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 words per minute) and data entry accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to court procedures and regulations.
