As a Courthouse Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for the public and a key support system for judicial officers. We value integrity, accuracy, and public service.
Responsibilities
- Manage and file legal documents, case records, and civil filings with strict accuracy and confidentiality.
- Answer incoming phone inquiries, direct calls, and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process payments for court fines, fees, and civil costs efficiently and accurately using POS systems.
- Maintain and update computer databases, court calendars, and electronic filing systems.
- Assist judges, attorneys, and court staff with administrative tasks, docket management, and document preparation.
- Ensure all office supplies and equipment are maintained and ordered as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or paralegal certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a clerical, administrative, or customer service role is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and court-specific software (e.g., Odyssey, PACE).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
