Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement necessary security controls for federal systems.
- Monitor network traffic and systems for potential cyber threats, anomalies, and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including NIST, FISMA, and CJIS standards.
- Lead incident response activities and conduct digital forensics investigations when security breaches occur.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders to develop and update information security policies and procedures.
- Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to maintain system integrity.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in federal or defense sector information systems security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network architecture, and operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
