Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security protocols for federal networks and systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to cyber incidents
- Develop comprehensive incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST/FISMA standards
- Lead security awareness training programs for federal personnel
- Research emerging threats and recommend defensive countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity or federal IT security
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (CompTIA Security+ required)
- Expert knowledge of NIST frameworks, FISMA compliance, and federal security protocols
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
