Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal IT systems using cloud-native architectures
- Lead cross-agency cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive veteran data
- Manage complex IT infrastructure modernization projects with $1M+ budgets
- Mentor junior staff and develop agency-wide technical best practices
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal IT security standards
- Collaborate with VA leadership to align technology with strategic priorities
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- Active CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud platforms and DevOps methodologies
- Federal IT experience with FISMA/NIST compliance frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- Secret security clearance eligibility (must obtain within 6 months)
