Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity frameworks for federal information systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents according to NIST protocols
- Develop security policies and procedures compliant with FISMA and CUI requirements
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous security posture improvements
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Manage security audits and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT security with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 controls and frameworks
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) and network security
- Active Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret required)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
