Responsibilities
- Manage and secure NASA's classified/unclassified IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud platforms
- Implement zero-trust cybersecurity frameworks to protect sensitive space exploration data
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for scientific computing systems and research applications
- Coordinate disaster recovery plans and business continuity protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal IT regulations (FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP)
- Lead system upgrades and migrations for research computing environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active Security+ CE certification with CISSP preferred
- Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud platforms and hybrid architectures
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows server administration and virtualization
- Experience with NASA or DoD IT security protocols
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
