Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced network security protocols across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for classified platforms
- Lead incident response operations for security breaches and cyber-attacks
- Develop and enforce security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Manage security information and event management (SIEM) infrastructure
- Coordinate with federal law enforcement agencies on cyber threat intelligence
- Mentor junior team members on security best practices and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security or DoD-approved environment
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, DLP systems)
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and Impact Level 5 security frameworks
- Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret clearance
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and zero-trust architecture
