Responsibilities
- Monitor and defend federal networks against sophisticated cyber attacks using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response protocols and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with federal agencies to implement NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Analyze threat intelligence and provide actionable security recommendations to leadership
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Manage security audits and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (non-negotiable)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal cybersecurity or critical infrastructure protection
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure), network segmentation, and zero-trust architectures
- Demonstrated experience with incident response (CSF) and threat hunting methodologies
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability Determination
