Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced cybersecurity protocols to protect federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents within SLA requirements
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity standards
- Train staff on security best practices and policy updates
- Document security procedures and incident reports
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in network security tools (Splunk, SIEM, IDS/IPS)
- Knowledge of risk assessment frameworks (OCTAVE, FAIR)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
- Ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance
