Responsibilities
- Monitor and defend federal networks against cyber threats using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop incident response protocols for data breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with CBP and ICE on border security technology integration
- Implement NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks for secure operations
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Manage security audits and compliance documentation for federal systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with federal/government sector experience
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security, threat detection, and incident response
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret required)
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CMMC)
