Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats using SIEM tools
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and implement remediation protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation and compliance reports
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement on threat intelligence sharing
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and policies
- Stay current with evolving threat landscapes and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in government or regulated industry
- Proficiency with NIST frameworks and federal compliance standards
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
