Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of federal IT systems
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and incident response protocols
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and coordinate threat mitigation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure NIST compliance
- Conduct security awareness training for federal personnel
- Manage security incident lifecycle from detection to resolution
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity or information security roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Experience with federal security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, RMF)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document technical procedures
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance
