Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex data models and reporting dashboards using SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various state agencies to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic policy decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to define data requirements.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including data dictionaries and ETL process descriptions.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases and advanced data manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Familiarity with government data standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
