Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with inquiries regarding driver's licenses, vehicle titles, and registration renewal.
- Process applications and documentation accurately and efficiently using DMV computer systems.
- Answer high-volume phone calls and resolve customer complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and update internal databases.
- Verify documents and ensure all legal requirements are met before processing transactions.
- Operate office equipment, including printers, scanners, and cash registers.
- Stay updated on current Texas DMV laws, fees, and procedural changes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, or government services is preferred.
- Strong typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening.
- Knowledge of Texas Vehicle Code is a plus but not mandatory.
