Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a high level of professionalism and patience, answering questions regarding DMV services and procedures.
- Process vehicle registrations, renewals, title transfers, and license applications accurately and efficiently.
- Operate computer systems and databases to retrieve customer information and update records.
- Handle incoming calls and walk-ins, resolving complaints and escalating complex issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring strict compliance with all safety and security protocols.
- Verify the validity of documents and ensure all paperwork meets legal standards.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline service delivery and reduce wait times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, reception, or administrative support.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and data entry skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies simply.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, if required.
