Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume data entry and maintain accurate digital and physical records for various municipal departments.
- Greet visitors and answer multi-line telephones, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members or taking detailed messages.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute correspondence, reports, and memos using Microsoft Office Suite and specialized government software.
- Assist the public with basic information requests, forms, and applications in a professional and courteous manner.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and inter-departmental communications efficiently.
- Assist in organizing departmental files, ensuring proper indexing and retrieval protocols are followed.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience with data entry, office administration, or customer service is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in sensitive records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
