Responsibilities
- Assist in the intake, review, and processing of pension claims and retirement applications.
- Verify documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate professionally with veterans, beneficiaries, and internal stakeholders regarding pension inquiries.
- Update and maintain accurate records in federal databases and case management systems.
- Collaborate with senior specialists to learn federal pension calculation methodologies.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with VA policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a federal background investigation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a structured federal work environment.
