Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate and timely processing of government forms and data entry.
- Provide administrative support to senior caseworkers and managers within the department.
- Maintain and organise filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring strict adherence to data protection regulations.
- Handle incoming enquiries from the public via phone, email, or in person, directing them to the appropriate channels.
- Conduct basic research to support policy initiatives and internal reports.
- Ensure compliance with all internal government policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve office efficiency and service delivery.
Qualifications
- GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Mathematics.
- Experience or interest in working within a public sector or customer-facing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new internal software quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
