Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, citizens, and employees at the front desk in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records and filing systems for city departments.
- Prepare routine correspondence, memos, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Assist department managers with administrative support, including scheduling and meeting preparation.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with all city policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
- Proven reliability and a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
- Valid Texas Driverβs License is preferred but not always mandatory for this role.
