Responsibilities
- Perform General Office Duties: Execute essential clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records in compliance with city standards.
- Assist the Public: Greet visitors, answer phone inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Process Documentation: Review, verify, and process incoming applications, forms, and correspondence with high attention to detail.
- Update Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases and filing systems for various city departments.
- Support Team Operations: Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient departmental operations.
- Operate Office Equipment: Utilize standard office machinery including computers, printers, scanners, and fax machines.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We provide training for the right candidates.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
- Integrity: Must be able to pass a standard background check and possess the integrity required for government work.
