Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors and phone callers with professionalism, directing them to the appropriate departments or resolving their inquiries.
- Record Management: Accurately input, update, and maintain digital and physical records in accordance with city regulations and privacy standards.
- Application Processing: Review, verify, and file incoming government applications, forms, and documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Information Dissemination: Distribute informational materials and brochures to the public regarding city services, laws, and regulations.
- Administrative Support: Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and preparing correspondence.
- Compliance: Adhere to all city policies, safety protocols, and ethical standards while performing daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Some college coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior professional experience is required. We value attitude and aptitude over history.
- Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is highly desired.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact clearly with a diverse population.
