Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Greet and assist the public with inquiries regarding city services, permits, and applications.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records of incoming documents, transactions, and correspondence.
- Data Entry: Enter data into computer systems with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Processing: Review, verify, and process applications, forms, and paperwork according to government regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and the public both in person and via telephone.
- Office Support: Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, and answering multi-line phone systems.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Experience: No prior government experience required; entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and typing skills.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for U.S. government employment.
- Background Check: Must pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Availability: Must be available to work a full-time schedule, including some evenings or weekends if required.
