Responsibilities
- Assist in the intake and processing of new pension enrollment forms and retirement applications.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within the state pension database systems.
- Conduct routine inquiries via phone and email regarding member account status and contribution rates.
- Prepare correspondence and reports related to pension calculations and plan amendments.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor incoming mail and distribute it to the appropriate department units.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and state drug screening.
