Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation for public records requests.
- Answer high-volume incoming inquiries via telephone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information regarding agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems to ensure compliance with state retention schedules.
- Prepare and review correspondence, memos, reports, and meeting agendas for accuracy and formatting.
- Support senior staff with special projects and various departmental initiatives as assigned.
- Monitor office supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Previous administrative or customer service experience is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as required for state employment.
