Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users in a government office environment.
- Help Desk Support: Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the tracking and maintenance of computer equipment and peripherals.
- Software Installation: Install, configure, and update standard government software applications.
- Network Support: Monitor local area networks (LAN) to ensure connectivity and security.
- User Training: Conduct basic training sessions on computer usage and software tools.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional IT experience required; entry-level candidates with internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows operating systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Availability: Ability to work a standard 40-hour work week, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
