Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of workstations, printers, and mobile devices for state employees.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT incidents, tickets, and resolutions using the state service desk ticketing system.
- Conduct regular system checks and perform routine maintenance to ensure IT infrastructure reliability.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest technology trends and government compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in a tech support role).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and basic knowledge of Linux or Mac OS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on user satisfaction and empathy.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state security requirements.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.
