Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person for hardware and software issues.
- Manage and track helpdesk tickets using the Service Desk Management system.
- Perform routine maintenance on desktop computers, printers, and network peripherals.
- Assist with the deployment of new workstations and software updates.
- Conduct user training sessions to improve technology literacy across departments.
- Ensure compliance with state security policies and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic operating system concepts.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Basic understanding of networking principles (LAN/WAN) and hardware troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus but not required for entry-level consideration.
