Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain electronic health record systems (EHR) and associated clinical applications
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect veteran data and comply with HIPAA/FISMA standards
- Lead system integration projects for VA healthcare technology initiatives
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for complex IT infrastructure issues
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize IT solutions for patient care
- Conduct system audits and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT or federal IT systems
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with VA-specific systems (VistA, Cerner) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
