Responsibilities
- Manage Communications: Answer incoming phone calls and greet visitors with a professional demeanor, directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Data Management: Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized electronic and physical records for departmental files.
- Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread memos, reports, correspondence, and internal communications.
- Administrative Support: Assist in scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and preparing meeting packets.
- Office Operations: Sort and distribute mail, manage inventory for office supplies, and assist with basic accounting tasks.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to the public and city employees by addressing questions and resolving issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in Business Administration or Public Administration is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation skills.
