Responsibilities
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, and photocopying documents.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding water billing and service requests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Sort and distribute mail and packages to various departments within the organization.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of daily transactions and files.
- Operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and fax machines.
- Support administrative staff with special projects and various office tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer literacy (typing and navigating the internet) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong desire to learn and work in a public service environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
