Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and processing of federal and state pension plans for government employees.
- Review and update employee records to ensure accuracy in benefit calculations.
- Respond to inquiries from current and retired staff regarding pension eligibility and disbursements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on pension contributions and payouts.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to reconcile monthly government jobs data.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, explaining their benefits package.
- Ensure all documentation complies with federal and local Apply Today regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in numerical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and security clearance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in public policy and government operations.
