Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension applications, member contributions, and benefit calculations
- Assist with member inquiries via phone, email, and in-person consultations
- Support the administration of defined benefit and defined contribution plans
- Prepare accurate reports for auditors, trustees, and regulatory bodies
- Contribute to system upgrades and process improvements in PERA's technology platforms
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on compliance matters
- Participate in cross-departmental projects to enhance member services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Basic knowledge of retirement plans, pension systems, or employee benefits
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications within 2 years
