Responsibilities
- Process and review new pension applications and benefit requests accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective retirees via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Assist in the reconciliation of pension plan data and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to ensure compliance with state and federal pension regulations.
- Conduct initial training orientations for new hires and interns.
- Update employee and retiree records in the internal database systems.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in benefit calculations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
- Must be willing to undergo a thorough background check and security clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive financial information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
