Responsibilities
- Process Federal Pension Applications: Review and process incoming pension and retirement benefit applications for federal employees with accuracy and efficiency.
- Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to federal employees regarding their pension statements, eligibility, and claims processes.
- Data Management: Maintain precise records of pension data, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and update internal databases.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in federal pension laws, OPM guidelines, and retirement policies to ensure all processes are current.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the HR and Finance departments to resolve complex benefits inquiries and streamline administrative workflows.
- Documentation: Prepare and organize necessary documentation for audits and internal reviews related to pension administration.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred; alternatively, equivalent experience in an administrative role.
- Experience: No prior federal experience required; we provide comprehensive training for entry-level candidates.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pension concepts clearly.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office Suite and experience with database management or HRIS systems is a plus.
- Work Ethic: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
