Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections and audits of regulated facilities to verify compliance with state environmental laws
- Analyze industrial wastewater discharge data and prepare detailed compliance reports
- Investigate citizen complaints regarding environmental violations and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and deliver environmental compliance training programs for regulated entities
- Collaborate with legal teams to support enforcement actions when necessary
- Stay current on evolving environmental regulations and technological best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in environmental regulatory compliance
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to field sites
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software
- Certification in Hazardous Materials Management preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
