Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and water quality sampling for regulatory compliance
- Analyze environmental data to identify pollution sources and recommend mitigation strategies
- Prepare technical reports and enforcement documentation for state/federal agencies
- Coordinate with local government entities on stormwater management projects
- Develop public education materials on environmental protection best practices
- Manage restoration projects for coastal and wetland ecosystems
- Testify as expert witness in environmental compliance hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- 3+ years of regulatory compliance or environmental monitoring experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis software
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Strong written communication skills for technical reporting
- Ability to work in field conditions (heat, humidity, outdoor environments)
- Knowledge of Florida's Water Quality Assurance Act and EPA regulations
