Responsibilities
- Develop and implement state environmental policies aligned with California Climate Action Plan
- Analyze complex environmental data and regulatory frameworks for compliance recommendations
- Lead stakeholder engagement with local government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for senior leadership
- Coordinate interdepartmental environmental initiatives across Northern California
- Monitor emerging environmental technologies and best practices
- Manage environmental impact assessments for major state projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental policy analysis or regulatory compliance
- Expertise in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal regulations
- Advanced data analysis proficiency with GIS and statistical software
- Proven track record in stakeholder collaboration and conflict resolution
- Valid California driver's license
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
