Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for coastal development projects
- Develop and implement pollution prevention programs for industrial zones
- Monitor compliance with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) regulations
- Lead community outreach on sustainability initiatives and waste reduction
- Analyze water quality data for Long Beach Harbor and surrounding ecosystems
- Collaborate with state agencies on climate action planning
- Prepare regulatory reports and permit documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 3+ years regulatory compliance experience in California
- Strong knowledge of CEQA and federal environmental regulations
- GIS mapping and environmental data analysis skills
- California driver's license with clean record
- Certification in Environmental Management Systems preferred
- Experience with coastal conservation projects
