Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental compliance inspections and enforcement activities for industrial facilities
- Analyze air/water quality data and prepare technical reports for regulatory compliance
- Develop pollution prevention strategies for businesses across Central Texas
- Coordinate with local government agencies on environmental hazard response
- Provide technical assistance to regulated entities and public inquiries
- Participate in environmental policy development and rulemaking processes
- Lead community outreach initiatives on environmental protection programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- 3+ years of environmental compliance or regulatory experience
- Texas Class C Driver's License and clean driving record
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis software (e.g., ArcGIS, R)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for public reporting
- Texas Environmental Compliance Inspector certification preferred
- Experience with TCEQ regulatory frameworks (Title V, NPDES)
- Ability to work independently in field environments and variable weather conditions
