Responsibilities
- Manage and organize incoming correspondence, ensuring timely responses and accurate filing.
- Coordinate complex travel arrangements and meeting schedules for senior federal officials.
- Prepare and edit official reports, briefings, and presentations for leadership review.
- Maintain compliance with federal record-keeping standards and privacy laws (e.g., FERPA, Privacy Act).
- Assist in the procurement process, including preparing purchase orders and tracking expenditures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal staff and external agency partners.
- Oversee the daily operations of the office reception area and front desk management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative support, preferably within a government or military setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and government-specific software (e.g., eOPF, SharePoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
