Responsibilities
- Process veteran benefit claims with 99% accuracy within federal deadlines
- Manage confidential medical records using VA-approved electronic systems
- Coordinate multi-departmental scheduling for 15+ specialists
- Generate monthly compliance reports for OMB review
- Train 3-5 new hires annually on federal protocols
- Respond to 50+ constituent inquiries weekly via phone/email
- Collaborate with HR on staffing initiatives and retention strategies
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years federal or healthcare administrative experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and VA-specific software
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days
- US citizenship required
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 20 lbs occasionally for records management
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and federal privacy laws
