Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations with precision and adherence to OPM guidelines.
- Process and verify payroll and daily pay transactions to ensure 100% accuracy and timely disbursement.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including FERS, CSRS, and agency-specific compensation policies.
- Provide expert guidance and support to federal employees regarding pay inquiries, leave balances, and benefit entitlements.
- Conduct new hire orientations and training sessions to educate staff on federal compensation structures.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to optimize workforce planning and compensation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HRIS systems and manage sensitive personnel data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with the U.S. Federal Government or a top-tier federal contracting firm.
- Expert knowledge of OPM regulations, FERS, CSRS, and the Federal Wage System (FWS).
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Strong understanding of General Schedule (GS) pay plans and the federal hiring process.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
