Responsibilities
- Manage and process federal employee benefits enrollment forms, changes, and terminations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide expert customer service and guidance to federal staff regarding health, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, privacy laws (FERPA, HIPAA), and agency-specific policies.
- Maintain precise records in the federal benefits management system and prepare monthly reports for HR leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex eligibility issues and discrepancies.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires on the benefits administration portal.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for a federal background investigation.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration, benefits processing, or a related federal support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS software.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy required when handling sensitive personal data and financial information.
