Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' compensation and pension claims with precision and timeliness
- Review medical records and supporting documentation for claim accuracy
- Communicate claim status and requirements to veterans and their families
- Utilize VA systems (VBMS, VBAS) to maintain accurate claim records
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal advisors to resolve complex cases
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and VA policies
- Train junior staff on claim processing procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum of 2 years federal claims processing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management software
- Strong knowledge of veterans' benefits programs (e.g., 38 CFR)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Valid state driver's license (required for occasional travel)
