Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' compensation and pension claims with 95% accuracy
- Review medical documentation and service records to determine benefit eligibility
- Communicate with veterans, families, and medical providers via phone/email
- Maintain detailed case files in VA's electronic claims management system
- Stay current on federal regulations (38 CFR) and policy updates
- Resolve discrepancies through research and collaboration with VA medical centers
- Meet monthly productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's preferred)
- 1+ years claims processing or federal administrative experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and database management systems
- Strong attention to detail with ability to handle complex documentation
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Experience with veterans' affairs or federal benefits systems (highly desirable)
