Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations (HIPAA, VA policies) across healthcare operations
- Conduct compliance audits and implement corrective action plans
- Develop training programs for staff on regulatory requirements
- Monitor policy compliance and report findings to leadership
- Collaborate with legal and medical departments on compliance initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities
- Stay current on evolving federal healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of compliance/regulatory experience in healthcare
- Knowledge of HIPAA, VA regulations, and federal healthcare laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Federal security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Professional certification (e.g., CHC, CCEP) preferred
